Combining classical beauty with stunningly functional complications, the Classic Sonata makes its entrance.
Mechanical complications that have been pared down to their most essential form are celebrated by the classical
lines of this covetable piece in titanium and steel. The alarm function with its pleasant chime, and the Dual Time
system with instant time zone adjustor, are both exclusive to Ulysse Nardin. And both deliver precision performance
in a graceful boutique edition that has been limited to 99 pieces.
A complex mechanical instrument, the Classic Sonata is powered by the caliber UN-67 – a patented self-winding
manufacture caliber, with its silicium hairspring and patented inertial oscillator. The movement enables the stunning
complications for which Ulysse Nardin is known, like the exclusive alarm setting, which wakes the user with a
melodic cathedral gong. Positioned between 12 and 2 o’clock, it boasts a 12h or 24h alarm setting, which means
the alarm can be set for a.m. or p.m. The hand at 10 o’clock denotes whether or not the alarm is activated. And in
another achievement for this mechanical watch, the alarm is synchronized with the Dual Time system when traveling.
Ulysse Nardin’s prized Dual Time with instant timezone adjustor is featured on the blued dial, at 6 o’clock. The
Dual Time function simplifies time zone adjustments, which can be done both forwards and backwards just by using
the pushers to change the position of the hour hand. The date is easily read in a double window at 4 o’clock.
The Classic collection DNA is apparent in the elegance of the design: an approach that highlights the essential
beauty of the functions, while the dial, lugs, pushers and steel mid-case are in perfect harmony, as are the
“Glaive” hands. The Classic Sonata combines its 44mm steel mid-case with a titanium bezel and sapphire crystal
case back. It is water resistant to 30 meters, and has a leather strap with folding buckle clasp.
